Ray Foley

Ray Foley, a former Marine with over 20 years of bartending and restaurant experience, is the founder and publisher of BARTENDER Magazine, the only magazine in the world specifically geared towards bartenders and one of the very few primarily designed for servers of alcohol. BARTENDER Magazine is enjoying its 18th year and currently has a growing circulation of over 150,000.

Ray has been published in numerous articles throughout the country and has appeared on many TV and radio shows.

Ray is the founder of the Bartender Hall of Fame, which honors the best bartenders throughout the United States not only for their abilities as mixologists but for involvement in their communities as well.

Ray serves as a consultant to some of the United States’ foremost distillers and importers. He is also responsible for naming and inventing new drinks for the liquor industry.

Ray has the largest collection of cocktail recipe books in the world, dating back to the 1800s, and is one of the foremost collectors of cocktail shakers, with 368 shakers in his collection.

He is the author of The Ultimate Cocktail Book, The Ultimate Little Shooter Book, and Advice from Anonymous.

Aleš Ogrin

Aleš Ogrin was a World champion in mixing bar drinks - Singapore 2000, World vice-champion in mixing bar drinks - Goteborg 1999 and was a member of winning team in mixing bar drinks competition - Goteborg 1999. He contributed many own recipes, some of them were winniners on the mentioned competitions. He lives in Slovenia
He is also:
- Member of Slovene Barmen Association ( DBS ) since 1985;
- DBS vice-presidente since 1998;
- Instructor and mentor to young barmen in DBS;
- World champion in mixing bar drinks - Singapore 2000;
- World vice-champion in mixing bar drinks - Goteborg 1999;
- Member of winning team in mixing bar drinks competition - Goteborg 1999 ( barmans: Aleš OGRIN, Klemen POPIT, Mitja ACMAN );
- A regular participant at international barmen meetings, world championships and IBA congresses since 1992 as a barman competitor and as a DBS delegate;
- National champion in different categories in 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, 2000,2003;
- Participant and winner in different categories at traditional international barmen competitions;
- I worked as a member of the organization committee at the 51st International Bartender Association and the leader of the championship 28th world cocktail championship and 3 rd world competitions in free-style in Bled 7th to 14 th October 2002;
- I received numerous decorations like the golden plaque of the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia, bronze plaque »Ivan Cankar« by Municipality of Vrhnika;
- Organizator of several of competitions in mixing bar drinks in Slovenia;
- Author of numerous cocktail recipes, brochures and catalogues and the book »The Colorful World of Cocktails«;
- Coauthor of book (Andrej Goljat, Aleš Ogrin) 'Coffee'
